The Minolta DiMage F300 is a 5 megapixel, 3x optical zoom camera that's relatively ultracompact. It offers extended movie capabilities and also and voice recording (up to three hours of audio!), full manual controls, and much more.

Though you'll pay a little more, I recommend ordering the Minolta DiMage F300 from Amazon.com, due to that company's overall excellent customer service before and after sales.
