Oakville, ON (July 22, 2025) – The Smilezone Foundation is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament, which took place on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Lionhead Golf Club in Brampton, Ontario. This year, Smilezone raised an impressive $300,000 (after expenses), surpassing its fundraising goal and contributing to a remarkable cumulative total of over $2 million raised through the tournament since its inception. Thanks to the continued support of lead sponsor, The Slaight Family Foundation the tournament brought together professional athletes, musicians, and generous supporters for a day of golf and philanthropy, all in support of the Smilezone mission to create comforting healthcare spaces for children across Canada.

A standout moment of the event was the recognition of Megan Bozek, a two-time Olympic medalist and one of the most accomplished players in women’s professional hockey. Megan was proudly named the 2025 Smilezone Ambassador in recognition of her long-standing support and advocacy for the Smilezone Foundation.

“This year’s tournament is a powerful reminder of the incredible community that continues to rally behind Smilezone,” said Adam Graves, Smilezone Co-Founder and two-time Stanley Cup champion. “We are deeply grateful to everyone, our participants, sponsors, and celebrity guests for helping make this event such a memorable and impactful day. The funds raised today will allow us to continue building therapeutic spaces where children and their families can experience joy and comfort during their most challenging times.”

Each year, Smilezone Foundation designates one special location to receive the annual Smilezone funded through proceeds from the Celebrity Golf Tournament. At this year’s event, the Foundation was proud to announce Halton Children’s Aid Society as the 2025 recipient. Funds raised will support the transformation of key areas at the facility into vibrant, therapeutic Smilezones creating more welcoming, comforting environments for children, youth, and families receiving care and support.
