Rachel’s Kids

To ring in the New Year January 9th-11th, 2017, the Smilezone team was in Cornwall, Ontario installing TWO SMILEZONES at Rachel’s Kids. The two new Zones are featured in the main Community Room and the arts room at the brand new facility.  These welcoming spaces in the two new Zones brings the total number of Smilezones in Ontario up to 102!

About Rachel’s Kids

Rachel’s Kids House of Hope, which is a non-profit charitable organization supported through community contributions, corporate donations and the time of volunteers, which seeks to aid impoverished, neglected and abused children as well as numerous education initiatives, including awarding scholarships and building schools. Rachel’s Kids also integrates with other aid organizations in order to improve the lives of children in need.

Specific Features in the Smilezone Transformation Include:

  • Visually appealing murals with an outdoor theme
  • Custom built paint station
  • Custom cabinetry and banquette seating for family use
  • Warmly-coloured, fresh paint throughout the Zones
  • An iPad station with new bean bag chairs
  • A new Gesture Tek and sensory panels
