Refurbished Smilezone brings comfort, connection and moments of joy to children and families accessing critical support services.
Burlington, ON – June 18, 2026 – Smilezone Foundation and Halton Children’s Aid Society are proud to unveil a newly transformed Smilezone within the organization’s Burlington office, creating a warm, welcoming and uplifting environment for children, youth and families receiving care and support.
Made possible through a generous financial contribution from Smilezone Foundation, the newly refurbished space has been thoughtfully redesigned to brighten the experience for children accessing services. The transformation reflects Smilezone Foundation’s mission of creating comforting, engaging and positive environments where young people can feel supported during challenging times.
The revitalized Smilezone features vibrant design elements and child-friendly enhancements intended to reduce stress, foster connection and create moments of happiness for children and families who spend time in the space.
“Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and encouraged when accessing services. Each year, funds raised through the Smilezone Celebrity Golf Tournament are directed toward transforming a specific location, helping us create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities we serve,” said Scott Bachly, Smilezone Foundation Co-Founder. “We are proud that this year’s support is helping enhance the environment for children, youth and families at Halton Children’s Aid Society, creating a brighter, more welcoming space where they can feel supported and cared for.”
The new Smilezone is designed to help transform what can often be a difficult experience into one that feels more welcoming and reassuring. Research continues to show that thoughtfully designed environments can positively impact emotional well-being, helping children feel more relaxed, engaged and supported.
“Halton Children’s Aid Society is committed to creating welcoming and supportive environments where children,
youth and families can connect during visits. We are grateful to the Smilezone Celebrity Golf Tournament donors and
to the Smilezone Foundation for their support in transforming our family visit rooms, which strengthens the experi-
ence for those we serve,” said Michelle McGaw, Executive Director, Halton Children’s Aid Society. “We are already
seeing the positive impact of these spaces, and this investment will continue to support children, youth and families
for years to come.”
